Abstract

Organizational Learning has been increasingly studied by researchers, once it can build a competitive advantage for an organization and also increase development of knowledge and technology, contributing to organizational inovativeness. However, this construct has a lot of facets, both in its theoretical foundations and its scales for measurement. It's hard to find a broadly accepted scale because researchers in this area usually prefer to design a new scale based on a combination of available scales. Since organizational learning theory has to be consolidated, the goal of this study is identifying the most adopted scale in international literature and analyzing validation of quantitative studies in Brazil. After the analysis, it was possible to realize that, among the six articles that were found, each study validates a different scale. Some suggestions are given to improve the process of scale validation, in order to stimulate the development of more valid and reliable measures of organizational learning.
