Use of multicriteria analysis in the construction of a sustainability index hydro-environmental: a study in municipalities from Paraiba state

The management of water resources, and a decision-making process complex, full of variables and data that need to be structured so that you might be able to contribute to a better planning and management of water in order to contribute to the improvement and definition of public policies. In this sense, the present study focuses on establishing a methodology based on the use of indicators and multicriteria analysis capable of identifying the situation hydro-environmental recovery of municipalities. For both made the use of documentary research, exploratory and multicriteria analysis, track method Promethee II. The developed model adopted 51 indicators and 7 dimensions. The results point to the distinction between the cities more and less sustainable in relation to the issue hydro-environmental recovery. The contribution of the study is configured as an important tool that you can is being used by public management in search of better target their shares of investment in contexts that need more attention and discussion by all social actors and institutional.Downloads
